Mind and Body Consultation

with Liz Bentley

From £600

What is a mind and body consultation and why would you have one?

It’s really something that everyone should have; a full assessment of your life so far, so that you can take stock of everything that’s happened, what you’ve done to yourself and what’s been done to you - from a physical and psychological perspective.

By the end of the consultation you will have a clear idea of what is needed for you to live your life as well as you want and how to achieve it. This will include a self-help plan, and where needed external referrals and resources with trusted professionals. Follow up appointments with Liz are always available if required.

While this consultation is very challenging and you need to be prepared to face things that you might not like, if you are ready to change your life and embrace a healthy future, now is the time.

How does it work?

Step 1.

Reflection

After an initial phone-call, Liz will send you a detailed assessment form and mind/body map to complete which will help you, in the week or two leading up to the assessment to think about and gather as much detailed  information on your mental and physical health history so far.

Step 2.

Preparation

Having completed the form you will then return it to Liz at least one week before your appointment. The form will encourage you to provide the most detailed information possible, helping you to get the maximum benefit from your personal assessment.

Step 3.

Consultation

The consultation lasts 90 minutes. The first hour focuses on the form and the information that you’ve gathered. Liz will look at and discuss with you the links between life events, changes, mind/body reactions, issues you struggle with, the past and present, taking into consideration your family history and all past help received (if any).

Step 4.

Your Plan

The final half hour will focus on constructing a workable, achievable and positive plan to manage all issues that have been presented or surfaced within the process. It will give you a fresh understanding of how past experiences like illness, menopause, grief and trauma are affecting you now and how to address them and move forward into a healthy future.
